  • Why You Should Visit a Professional Beauty Salon

Whatever treatment it is that you want, the professionals who work in beauty salons will be able to achieve excellent results for you. Chances are you’ll be able to get your desired look far more easily than you could by doing it yourself, and visiting a beauty salon can also be a relaxing, enjoyable experience which gives you excellent value for money.

Certain treatments are far easier to have done professionally at a beauty salon. Hair removal, eyebrow shaping, pedicures and manicures are all more difficult to do yourself at home and the results won’t be as flawless. You can also opt to have certain specialist treatments which you wouldn’t be able to carry out yourself and which are more durable and long lasting, such as electrolysis for hair removal or gel and shellac paint applied to your nails. Salon beauticians and therapists are highly trained professionals so they’ll be able to carry out any treatments which you want to a very high standard. Different salons will have different specialisms so check before you book.

You can also go to a salon for luxurious relaxation treatments which are excellent for physical and mental well-being. Salons offer a range of massages – anything from hot stone massages to Indian head massages to deep tissue massages. These all have various benefits and can target issues such as poor circulation, skin problems, stress and muscle tension. You can also opt to have facials, which offer intensive treatment for the neck, face, chest and shoulders. You’ll often be able to have a massage as part of this which provides relaxation as well as skin nourishment.

HD Brows are an excellent way to get the perfect eyebrows for you. It involves a combination of techniques to achieve a result which is completely unique, making sure that your eyebrows are the right shape, colour and style for your face.

Eyebrows have always been something which we’ve taken care of, but recently, it’s becoming more fashionable to make eyebrows into something of a statement. This is something which HD Brows can help you to achieve, finding the perfect style for your face.

HD Brows techniques include waxing, threading and tinting to get your look just right. It’s a branded treatment, so all products used will be from the HD Brows creators themselves. This also means that a qualified brow stylist is required to carry out the treatment to guarantee its quality. Stylists are trained in the techniques involved and in the correct use of the products, plus they will normally have a background in beauty which will help them in deciding on the right look for you. Your stylist will consider factors such as your hair colour, face shape, eyebrow hair growth and complexion to make sure that you choose the right style between you. • How To Massage Your Scalp To Boost Hair Growth

Following from our post last month discussing hair growth, we will be focusing on increasing hair growth around the scalp region by massaging the area.

Massaging the scalp is known to stimulate, improving blood circulation, which is said to help hair follicles to grow.

You can perform a scalp massage on dry or wet hair, you just need to make sure that hair is free from hair products (oils are fine). When massaging the scalp, use your finger tips and spread them in and out. Avoid using your nails as this could lead to you damaging your scalp.

If you do decide to massage your scalp with oils, we recommend lavender, almond or castor oil. Massage for a minimum of 5 minutes and then leave the oil to be absorbed in for a couple of hours.

  • Boosting Hair Growth

Are you noticing that your hair is thinning as time goes on? There are a few things that you can do to help maintain the hair you have and treat it better.

First look at the type of shampoo and conditioner you’re using. Change your chemical-packed products to all-natural versions. When looking for a good shampoo, try and find one which doesn’t contain alcohol and sulfates, which dry and damage your hair. Also look for a conditioner which doesn’t contain silicones as they weight down hair.

When drying your hair after a wash, avoid drying roughly with a towel. Instead pat the hair gently and let it air dry. Avoid using a hair dryer as the heat from the dryer can cause breaks in the hair after drying.

These two suggestions are just a start. There are many other things you can do to help, which we will expand on in future posts.
