Long hair swept to the side is still an important switch-as much as offer clients for his or her special occasions, as demonstrated ultimately week’s 2013 Country Music Awards (CMAs). Country darlings Danielle Bradbury and Lucy Hale both wore sideswept looks.

Of course, it’s not only the Nashville ladies who wear the look. Kate Beckinsale and Abigail Breslin have shown up rocking it in addition.

Here she is on the CMAs.

Here’s a how-to for Carrie’s latest version from Sandra Joseph and Angela Noreck of Pureology Serious Colour Care.

STEP 1: Lightly mist Pureology Colour Fanatic on damp hair for shine and warmth protection; then apply Rootlift spray mousse on the base and Silk Bodifier volumizing mousse from midshaft to ends.

STEP 2: After blow-drying with a medium round brush, secure each section into medium barrel curls with clips and permit to chill for 10 minutes.

STEP 3: Drop curls, and brush with a soft bristle brush.

STEP 4: Finish with Strengthening Control hair spray.

STEP 1: Mist Pureology Highlight Stylist Sea-Kissed Texturizer on dry hair.

STEP 2: Braid hair into 4-6 sections to create texture, let the mist dry, release the braids and shake out the feel along with your fingers.

STEP 3: Apply Fresh Approach Dry Shampoo to the roots and lightly tease on the crown.

STEP 4: Gather hair to a low side pony, secure with an elastic and wrap a small amount hair round the pony to cover elastic and pin underneath.

STEP 5: Finish with Fresh Approach Dry Conditioner to polish and smooth.
